How much notice do you need for a new catering order?

15 days notice for wedding catering is appreciated; however, we can sometimes accommodate orders with less notice, depending on a few factors. While 15 days notice is appreciated, please note that orders are taken on a first come, first served basis and are dependent upon availability. It is very common that certain dates and times often book up days, weeks, and in rare cases, even months in advance, so we recommend that you reach out to confirm availability once you have some initial details available for your event (i.e. date, serving time, delivery location, and estimated headcount).

What size events do you cater?

Aaswad Caterers is available to cater all kinds of wedding and pre-wedding parties and get-togethers. We can cater for up to 5000 people, or even as little as 10 people. All of our dishes are available à la carte for small or large events. Give us a call and we can help you make the right choices for your wedding and related functions. We provide pure vegetarian food catering for Mehndi, Haldi ceremony, Bachelors party. As well as theme parties, Anniversary Party, catering for wedding reception, Catering at home, because we know you want your wedding memorable and it should be hassle-free. 

Where do you cater to?

We are available to cater anywhere in the Greater Mumbai area. Catering for big weddings we provide our services in Mumbai, Thane, New Mumbai, Bhayndar, Vasai, Virar and Dahanu, Palghar. For destination weddings, we can cater in all over India as per our availability. As you know, if you search Caterers Near me we are all there to serve you better. For small parties at home meals that are served warm we try to stay within a 60 minute drive time in order to keep food fresh and delicious.

How soon do I need to book and give final numbers?

For buffet and service events, we require final numbers 12 days prior to the function. For platters and finger food drop off we require 7 days prior.

We will do our best to accommodate any late/last minute bookings as we understand some things are not planned. 

Do you provide tastings?

Yes, with adequate advance notice we can arrange for you to taste items before you decide to order. Because we make everything to order, we cannot provide drop-in tasting. Usually, we need a 2-3 week’s notice to schedule a tasting for events happening 3 months hence. For events booked for within 90 days, we are unable to provide tasting. We do not provide tastings on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays.

Since we do not keep premium or non-seasonal ingredients on-hand for tastings, we must usually shop locally for ingredients at retail stores. That’s why we can not provide all items you selected for your wedding menu. for more details Call or contact us!

Besides the cost of food, what charges can I expect for a catered event?

When we provide your personalized proposal, we list all of our estimated charges to provide you with a complete proposal. In addition to the package per person price, we include the following in each proposal:

  1. Rental upgrades or extras (that we obtain on your behalf).
  2. Labor charges for service staff.
  3. Transportation charges.
